We recently teamed up with American Crew All Star Ian Harrold from Attitude Men’s Hair and the guys at Airborn Academy. We had been working with Ian for some time on some dynamic and unique imagery for Ian’s portfolio and marketing. As I had done some work with the guys at Airborn Academy before, I suggested to Ian that they would provide a great new directions for him. So, after some planning with Anthony from Airborn, we set up the shoot and spent the day at the Airborn Academy in Liverpool. We met the guys around 11am and Ian got to work cutting and styling while I set up the gear for the portraits. As each of the guys was ready, we shot the portraits. When these were all done, we moved on to do some action shots of the guys doing what they do best!

It was a really great shoot and everyone enjoyed it. We got some stunning images which both Ian will use for Attitude Men’s Hair and the guys at Airborn will use in their PR and website too.

All the images were shot with a Nikon D3s with the 24-70 at 70. For the portraits, I used 3 SB900s, a gridded one on each side of the talent and the other above camera shot though a 1-stop diffuser. This gave me the look I wanted with some contrast to go with an edgy look I wanted to get. The action shots were again shot with the D3s and an Elinchrom Ranger pack with an A head, triggered with the ST4. All the editing was completed with Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Photoshop CC, VSCO and Alien Skin Exposure 6
